Biography

Joanne Manrique is a global health and development finance leader who specializes in moving capital from commitment to execution across emerging markets. With over 20 years of experience, she has originated and structured blended-finance vehicles, guarantees, and partnerships that translate priority agendas in infrastructure and women’s economic empowerment into investable programs and deliverable pipelines.
She is President of the Center for Global Health and Development (CGHD), which has structured over a billion dollars in transactions, for women entrepreneurs, energy infrastructure and girls’ education into Sub-Sahara Africa and Latin America. Ms. Manrique also co-chairs the Women’s Health and Empowerment Network (WHEN), a coalition of women philanthropists, investors and private-sector partners deploying sustainable financing for development across the Indo-Pacific and Africa.
