Joelle is a multilingual strategic communications expert with over 20 years experience across the media industry. She has worked in both newsrooms and with philanthropic partners to highlight the power of storytelling to drive real-world change.
As Editorial lead for the Global Partnerships team at the BBC World Service, she secures journalism grants which help ensure that global challenges are not only discussed but understood, in a way that drives impact and action. From inspiring the next generation of changemakers to influencing policy conversations on global challenges.
With an international career spanning the BBC, Al Jazeera, and the World Bank, Joelle has built a reputation for curating multiplatform content campaigns that tackle issues ranging from health and climate to fighting mis and dis-information.
Fluent in four languages and experienced in working across cultures, she understands that the right message needs to be conveyed in targeted ways for different audiences.
