Biography
Katherine Woo is a philanthropist, board member, and tech social impact leader. Currently, she advises a family office and the Kosmos Giving Fund. She also serves as a Board Director for Digital Green, a nonprofit developing tech to empower rural farmers in India and Africa. In addition, she is a technology advisor to the Global Giving nonprofit giving platform.
At the intersection of tech and social impact, Katherine served as Executive Director of Airbnb.org, a nonprofit created by Airbnb to provide emergency housing after crises. She was founding Product Lead for Facebook's Social Impact team, launching multi-billion dollar charitable giving and crisis response tools. She was also Chief Product Officer at Kiva.org, which popularized participation in global microfinance.
Katherine was a management consultant before becoming a product leader at PayPal and Chief of Staff to the CEO at eBay. She earned a bachelors degree from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford.
