Biography

Dr Ketakandriana ("Ke") Rafitoson is a Malagasy political scientist, community organizer, anticorruption campaigner and por-democracy activist. She is the global Executive Director of Publish What You Pay (PWYP), a movement fighting for a cleaner and fairer energy future, and the volunteer Vice-Chair of Transparency International, the global coalition against corruption. She also serves as a member of the international board of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI), and sits within the advisory board of the African Women Against Corruption Network (AWACN). A mother of four, Ke is passionate about social justice and civil resistance, is lecturing about local democracy and citizens engagement at the Catholic University of Madagascar (UCM), and has co-founded several social movements in her country. She holds a doctoral degree in Political Science from IEP Madagascar and a doctoral degree in Sociology for Development from UCM.
