Laura Trajber Waisbich

Biography

Laura Trajber Waisbich is Assistant Program Director at the Brazil-based Igarapé Institute. She is also an Early Career Research Fellow at the Skoll Centre (Saïd Business School, University of Oxford) and a non-resident fellow at the also Brazil-based South-South Cooperation Research and Policy Centre (Articulação SUL).

Her research and policy work revolves around Southern powers in global governance, South-South development cooperation, policy diffusion, and state-society relations. Her current projects investigate the role of Southern powers in international development and on multi-level governance in the Amazon Basin. Previously, she worked for the University of Oxford as a Social Science Division Postdoctoral Fellow (2022-2023) and as a Departmental Lecturer in Latin American Studies and Director of the Brazilian Studies Programme, at the Latin American Centre (2023-2024).
