Lauren Pabst

Biography

Lauren Pabst is a Senior Program Officer in the Journalism and Media program at the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. She leads the Foundation’s Nonfiction Multimedia Storytelling grantmaking in support of documentary films and filmmakers through an organizational funding strategy. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2012, Lauren worked in documentary film research and production, including with Rada Studio, Black Public Media, and Public Policy Productions. She serves on the Board of Directors of Media Impact Funders and was selected as one of 2021’s DOC NYC Documentary New Leaders. Lauren serves on the Steering Committee of Nuestro Futuro, an initiative of the Chicago Community Trust.
