Biography

Lauren Paul is the Director of Policy and Partnerships at Common Future where she founded their policy department, focused on supporting the capacity of grassroots leaders to win on thematic policy areas such as reparations and build civic infrastructure to allow for greater engagement with under-resourced communities. Her work on radical pragmatism and the “missing middle” in policy advocacy has created pathways for increased investments in social infrastructure between grassroots advocates and institutional actors. Her writing has been published in places like Fast Company and Inside Philanthropy. Prior to this role, Lauren was Chief of Staff at Common Future and helped lead the evolution of the organization from BALLE to Common Future. She holds a BA in Peace and Justice from Tufts University and is expected to receive her Masters in Public Affairs from UC Berkeley in the Summer of 2024.
