Lija joined The Bridgespan Group in 2007 and is a Partner in the San Francisco office. She co-leads Bridgespan’s thought leadership and advisory work on field building, field catalysts/systems orchestrators, and equitable systems change. Lija and her collaborators have studied over 35 social change fields and have engaged 100+ field catalysts/systems orchestrators, with insights and recommendations captured in a growing set of publications including “Field Building for Population-Level Change: How Funders and Practitioners Can Increase the Odds of Success” and “Funding Field Catalysts from Origins to Revolutionizing the World.”
In addition to her cross-sector focus on field building and field cataysts, Lija works deeply in education, early childhood, racial equity, and philanthropy. Her clients include funders, research centers, collaboratives, and innovative nonprofits. She has worked on a range of issues including strategic planning and decision making, organizational design, struct
