Biography

Loretta is Social Worker with over 18years of experience in the NGO sector. She started her career as a Research Assistant in the Department of Criminology, University of Madras and then transposed to the NGO domain. She joined International Justice Mission, Chennai in 2013 and served as the Director of Aftercare. Loretta is passionate in equipping and empowering the human trafficking victims to become survivor champions. She was instrumental in developing the Global Survivor Network.

She took up different leadership roles at IJM and now serves as the Regional Rehabilitation Specialist for South Asia. In her current role she is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to support India and Bangladesh teams to provide protection and care for bonded labour & sex trafficking survivors. She is an External ICC member of the POSH committee for three of the Government Departments in her state. Loretta has her Masters in Social work and M.Phil in Guidance and Counselling.
