Louis Dorval

Biography

Louis has over 20 years of experience building organizations that serve people living in emerging markets. He started his career at Engineers Without Borders Canada. There, first as a volunteer and then as their first overseas-based staff, he grew their international program to over 200 Africa-based employees and volunteers. After business school, Louis worked for a Silicon Valley pre-IPO software company as their Director of Specific Projects reporting to the CEO. In his role, he led the acquisition of two companies, the growth of the corporate foundation and became the founding director of their R&D ‘labs’ division. In 2013, Louis co-founded and is now the CEO of Viamo, a mobile mass-communication social enterprise with offices in 25 emerging markets reaching 30 million people per year. Louis is a graduate from McGill University and Oxford University where he was a Skoll Scholar.
