Biography

Manu Chopra is working on tackling extreme poverty by providing dignified digital work to rural Indians. He's the Co-Founder and CEO of Karya, a transformative AI collective that is enabling dignified livelihoods. In 2023, Karya was featured on the cover of the Time Magazine, and Manu was nominated among Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People In AI. He graduated from Stanford University in 2017, where he co-founded CS+Social Good, Stanford's first student group focused on technology & impact. He has also taught several tech for good courses in Stanford's Computer Science Department. Manu is an Echoing Green Fellow and a Draper Richard Kaplans Foundation Social Entrepreneur.
