Marie-Alix de Putter is the Founder and President of the Bluemind Foundation, a pioneering organization dedicated to fighting mental health stigma and providing care across Africa. She established the foundation in July 2021 following the murder of her husband and her personal journey grappling with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Under her visionary leadership, the foundation's flagship program, Heal by Hair, has garnered widespread recognition and impact, as evidenced by major media coverage in The New York Times, BBC World, and Voice of America. Heal by Hair touches the lives of over 53,000 women annually.
Bestselling author and producer, Marie-Alix has earned prestigious accolades, including the esteemed Desmond Tutu Fellowship in 2023 and the Quartz Africa 30 Innovators Award in 2021. In 2022, she was honored as the Best Woman Leader of Africa.
