Michaela Koke

Biography

Michaela Koke is the Senior Manager of Award Selection with Climate Breakthrough, a global philanthropy that provides the largest climate action grant for individuals through the Climate Breakthrough Award. In this role, she leads awardee selection, selection strategy, and candidate sourcing, including managing a network of scouts and partners. Since 2020, Michaela has played a lead role in selecting 16 outstanding awardees. Prior to working with Climate Breakthrough, Michaela worked with CEA Consulting, where she advised philanthropic clients on climate change mitigation and resilience strategies. Michaela has also worked with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, in addition to roles in research and environmental philanthropy. Michaela has a master’s degree with distinction in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School.
