Michelle Kreger

Biography

Michelle Kreger is the CEO of IDEO.org, a non-profit design, innovation and strategy firm. In her role, she grows and nurtures a global team of designers, and sets vision and strategy. To date, IDEO.org has designed solutions that impact over 64 million people in 45 countries.

Over the past 9 years, Michelle’s work has included reimagining global vaccine delivery, enabling critical TB, HIV and reproductive health care delivery, co-creating strategies to meet challenging moments, and designing spaces for collective action. All of her work at IDEO.org is centered around building a more just and inclusive world.

Prior to IDEO.org, Michelle spent the first decade of her career leading Kiva.org’s global portfolio, where she was responsible for expanding to new markets and championing innovation through their social enterprise investment team, Kiva Labs. She has worked in over 50 countries, speaks Spanish and some French, and the best promotion she ever received was becoming a mom.
