Biography
Mohua Paul, Chairperson of Access Bangladesh Foundation is a woman with physical disabilities and uses a wheelchair. At the age of twelve, In 1974, I developed transverse myelitis and very quickly became paralyzed. I joined at the CRP as a Secretary and Receptionist in 1982 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2002. I successfully completed 25 years journey with CRP in 2007. After that, I founded Access Bangladesh Foundation in 2008 in close cooperation with Albert Mollah. I am one of the founder members of the NFOWD. Over the last 40 years, I attended different seminars in Bangladesh and abroad like UK, Canada, Finland, Thailand, Singapore, Sweden, France, Scotland, USA, Germany, etc. In 2005, I was nominated with other thousand women across the world for the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. I was also awarded by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs of Bangladesh. I am also a member of Executive Committee-Regional Representatives-Asia, Commonwealth Disabled Peoples Forum (CDPF).
