Biography
Nancy Chan is executive director of the WoodNext Foundation, the philanthropy of Roku CEO/founder Anthony Wood and his wife Susan. Previously, she led the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning function for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative's Justice & Opportunity Initiative. She also provided research and strategy consulting services for philanthropy, government and corporate clients through her work at Arabella Advisors, SRI International, and the Urban Institute. She also worked at tech companies Adaptec, Palm, and Catalyte. She has an electrical engineering degree from MIT and a public policy degree from Georgetown. As a volunteer with the Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, she researched the lack of AAPI representation in news media and published the findings in the report Invisible Ink: Media Representation of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
