Biography

Nate Rawlings serves as communications advisor and chief speechwriter to Dr. Jim Yong Kim, president of the World Bank Group. He previously served as a policy and communications advisor to the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, and most recently served as a speechwriter for Vice President Joe Biden. A former U.S. Army officer, Nate served two combat tours in Iraq. Following his military service, Nate was a writer at TIME magazine, where he covered U.S. and international politics and reported from Iraq and Afghanistan. Nate graduated from Princeton University, and he holds masters degrees in journalism and international affairs from Columbia University.
