Biography
Dr. Ngozi Erondu is an infectious disease epidemiologist, a recognized expert in global health security, and a prominent thought leader in public health. She has played a critical role in the West African Ebola response and advised governments across sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia on health systems policy and global health governance. Her work has focused on combating infectious diseases such as polio, malaria, meningitis, and HIV.
Dr. Erondu has collaborated with esteemed organizations including the US Centers for Disease Control, the World Health Organization, the UK Health Security Agency, and the United Nations Development Fund. A champion of equitable research and funding partnerships, Dr. Erondu is a thought leader and scholar-activist committed to shifting power dynamics in global health development. She serves as Co-Chair of the Lancet Commission on Racism, Structural Discrimination, and Global Health.
