Biography
Nicola is a globally recognised leader in civil society collaboration and CEO of Crisis Action, an award-winning organisation protecting civilians from conflict. For nearly three decades, she has united NGOs, governments, and activists to save lives and drive systemic change.
She joined Crisis Action in 2006 as a board member while leading Oxfam International’s global campaigning on conflict. She played a key role in securing the UN’s Responsibility to Protect agreement and co-founded the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Nicola has held roles with the UN, Avaaz, and the Overseas Development Institute, authoring landmark reports on humanitarian coordination.
She is also on a mission to rebrand doubt—not as weakness, but as a tool for better leadership, stronger teams, and more diverse voices in power.
