Biography
Nighat Dad is the founder and Executive Director of the Digital Rights Foundation and a global pioneer in advocating for digital rights. She served on the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Advisory Board on AI (HLAB) and is a founding member of Meta’s Oversight Board. Additionally, Nighat is part of the French President’s tech leaders cohort, advising on digital governance and defining strategic priorities. She also serves on an advisory group for the Global Partnership to address tech-facilitated gender-based violence, an initiative led by the White House.
Her organization operates at the forefront of human rights and technology, championing digital rights and women’s rights for the global majority. Nighat collaborates closely with the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader and contributes to the TED Fellows community as a TED Fellow.
