Biography
Dr Okito Wedi is the Founder and CEO of Crtve Development, a pan-African organization dedicated to inspiring social change and shaping the Africa we want to see, through creativity, advocacy, and storytelling, while bridging the gap between people and policies. She is also medical doctor, global health and development specialist with over 10 years years of experience working across development issues including health security, climate change, gender, and public policy for various organizations and institutions, including the United Nations, the African Center for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD), Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases (UTC), and Global Citizen to name a few. She has been able to sit at the nexus of some of the most pressing global development issues of our time and continues to deepen her understanding of the many problems and solutions to African development, and the role disenfranchised communities and creativity can and should play within it.
