Biography

Olmo von Meijenfeldt, is the founding Executive Director of Democracy Works Foundation (DWF) and the founding partner of Triple Dividend, a new development company. He spearheaded DWF’s establishment, securing seed funding and guiding its growth with the support of the DWF team. In order to aid sustainability of DWF’s non-profit financial model he launched Triple Dividend, the People, Planet, Prosperity company in 2023.
His passions include international solidarity and cooperation, strengthening south-south collaboration, capacitating change makers, defending democracy while building capitalism 2.0, and non-profit financial sustainability while ensuring DWF’s impact and value-add in democracy development.
With nearly 30 years of experience, Olmo has overseen the investment of half a billion Rand in governance, democracy, and human rights initiatives in South Africa and the region. He has also fostered DWF’s growth as a diverse, multi-national African team, emphasizing gender balance a
