Olumide Abimbola

Biography

Olumide Abimbola is founder and director of APRI, a think tank with registered offices in Abuja, Nigeria and Berlin, Germany. His areas of focus include economic informality, climate action, natural resource management, trade policy and regional integration.

Before APRI, he worked at the CONNEX Support Unit, a GIZ-hosted G7 initiative funded by the German government and the European Commission. Before that, he worked on trade and regional integration at the African Development Bank.

Olumide did his PhD at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle/Saale, Germany. He also has a master’s degree in Development Studies from Uppsala University, Sweden and a bachelor’s in communication studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
