His current organization, Kamara, provides holistic security and research support to individuals, organizations, movements, and their funders. It helps protect their safety by monitoring online civic space—both open and closed forums—and by continually developing strategic uses of technology and analysis. Kamara also works to build capacities for effective narratives, communications, and campaigning, and uses advanced investigative techniques to give civil society research-based insights into their adversaries.
He co-founded Videre Est Credere, an NGO that equips oppressed communities with customised technology to uncover information from places where media can’t or won’t go. Prior to that, he led the video department at B’Tselem, training hundreds of people fighting
