Biography
Pu Yang is an energy and climate economist specializing in sustainable investment, social impact assessment, and climate policy. She works on transformative projects focused on creating viable business models for minigrid investments in Sub-Saharan Africa, assessing the social impacts of energy transitions in Vietnam, and advancing electricity market reforms in the UK and China. As a Skoll Early Career Fellow, she brings a unique blend of academic expertise and practical insights to drive sustainable energy solutions globally.
Pu Yang holds a Ph.D. in Climate Change Economics from University College London and has held research positions at leading institutions, including the University of Exeter, University of Oxford, and UCL. She has extensive consultancy experience with organizations like SE4ALL and the Danish Refugee Council. She has co-authored influential publications in Nature Energy and Environmental Research Letters and regularly presents at global conferences.
