Rachel Schutz

Biography

Rachel Schutz is a visionary leader passionate about advancing Christian Science nursing through values-based leadership. She has directed an education program at a fiber arts center and an interfaith coalition providing low-barrier services to unhoused people. With a Master in Teaching, she taught elementary school with culturally relevant strategies that celebrated and engaged the values of every student. Today, she directs a Christian Science nursing facility for those relying on prayer alone for healing, and advocates for the most vulnerable children in the foster care system in Washington State. She believes that we are capable of building the world that cares for every living being.
