Biography
I am Program Director at the Mauthe Center, a nonprofit on the campus of University of Wisconsin Green Bay, creating community connection and interfaith conversation. I was previously Senior Director for Community Engagement and Director of the Norman Miller Center for Peace, Justice & Public Understanding at St. Norbert College, where I taught courses on peace and justice and human rights and led multi-narrative educational trips to Israel and the West Bank. Earlier in my career, I was a professor of theology at an evangelical seminary in Texas, but when that world became too narrow for me, I spent two years supporting community leaders in eight countries of sub-Saharan Africa, teaching on conflict transformation and leading staff development and fundraising for a Nairobi-based NGO. My work includes development and nonprofit consulting, mostly in northeastern Wisconsin.
