Ruth Cummings

Biography

As a board member of the Jewish Funders Network (JFN) there is continuity in the relationship of the Nathan Cummings Foundation and JFN. As a Cummings Foundation Trustee over 40 years, Ruth Cummings chaired the Program Committee and was actively engaged 30+ years ago in the formulation and support for a JFN to establish a network of Jewish American funders to share information, set best practices for effective philanthropy through a shared agenda of Jewish and universal causes to leverage efforts for change through collaborative philanthropy. Ruth has been active on the Israeli and American JFN Boards and is currently serving a 3 year term on the U.S. board and on the Communications committee. Ruth offers progressive perspectives to fellow JFN members of JFN that reflect the mission and values of NCF.
