Biography
After earning her Master’s in Rural Development and a brief stint with Oxfam, Sabarmatee started working with Sambhav, an organization visualised by her father, the late environmentalist Prof. Radhamohan in 1989. With a small and dedicated team, they revitalized barren lands in Nayagarh in Odisha state of India, demonstrating that ecological regeneration is achievable through community involvement. Sambhav's 90-acre campus now thrives on biodiversity and sustainable agriculture, promoting organic farming, biodiversity conservation, and women's empowerment. Through initiatives like “Adopt a Seed,” “We will eat well and we will feed well” Sabarmatee has inspired thousands to embrace sustainable agriculture practices.
