Biography
Saket Soni is an award-winning labor leader and changemaker. He is founder and director of Resilience Force, the voice of the rising workforce rebuilding America after climate disasters. He is also the author of The Great Escape: A True Story of Forced Labor and Immigrant Dreams in America. The book was called “a must-read” by the New York Times, which also listed it as one of its “100 notable books of 2023.” It was named a Best Book of 2023 by Amazon and NPR. It was shortlisted for the 2023 Moore Prize for books dedicated to human rights.
Saket is the winner of the 2024 John P. McNulty Prize awarded to leaders of “moral courage, bold vision, and deep, lasting impact.” His work was the subject of a major New Yorker feature story in November 2021, and he was named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People in Business for 2022. He was profiled as an “architect of the next labor movement” in USA Today, and was chosen as a 2022-23 Aspen Institute Fellow.
