Sam Gregory is an award-winning human rights advocate and technologist. As Executive Director of the human rights network WITNESS, he champions their global work to ‘fortify the truth’, supporting millions of frontline human rights defenders and community media-makers using video and technology.

The initiative has directly influenced and shaped platform policies, emerging technologies for trust such as the C2PA, legislative efforts and public discussion of who and what to prioritize. He has testified to both the US House and Senate on AI and synthetic media and is a TED speaker on how to prepare better for the threat of deepfakes and deceptive AI.
