Biography

Ms. Sujata Saunik belongs to the 1987 batch of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) assigned to Maharashtra, India and is a Takemi Fellow from T.H Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University 2018. She has also completed a Research Fellowship in 2019 at Mittal South Asia Institute where she worked on issues at the cross section of public health, climate change and disaster management.
Within the Maharashtra Government, she has served as Assistant Collector in Aurangabad, Managing Director of MAVIM, Deputy Secretary to the Planning Department, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad in Ratnagiri, Additional Collector in Pune, Collector in Jalgaon, and Municipal Commissioner in Nashik. As a Secretary, she has headed various key departments including Public Health, Finance, Skill Development, General Administration (Services and AROM), and the Home Department.
