Biography
Sellah Bogonko is the Co-Founder & CEO of Jacobs Ladder Africa (JLA), a youth-focused organization dedicated to creating 30 million green economy jobs in Africa by 2033. Operating at the intersection of youth unemployment and climate change, JLA advocates for and generates green jobs across the continent. In advancing creation of green jobs, JLA developed Kijani Africa, a tech platform that brings African start ups to the world stage of potential donors, investors and partners with aim of increasing flow of climate finance to the grassroots.
Sellah was recognized by COP29 High Level Champion's office as a global "Change Maker" and JLA as the best Investment in youth in Africa by Africa Investment Awards. With experience spanning private, public, and non-governmental sectors, Sellah also serves as an advisory board member.
She holds a BA in Business, an MSc in Public Leadership, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Development at University of Sussex.
