Shellie Barber

Biography

Shellie joined the Skoll Foundation in 2023 and serves as the Senior Program Coordinator on the Portfolio & Investments team. She brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach, grounded in Skoll’s mission to invest in, connect, and champion social innovators driving lasting change.

Prior to Skoll, Shellie worked in higher education at Santa Clara University, where she guided students in aligning their values, interests, and skills with meaningful career paths. She also spent two decades successfully running a small, bootstrapped business in the Bay Area, gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and community engagement.

When she’s not working, you’ll likely find Shellie traveling with her family, visiting museums, bonding with animals, and is always on the hunt for the perfect croissant — recommendations encouraged!
