Shenaaz Chenia

Biography

Shenaaz Chenia is an experienced leader who transitioned from finance to youth and skills development.
With 20 years in audit and financial control across the UK, France, and South Africa, she saw first-hand the challenges young people face in entering the workforce. As Head of Finance for Saint-Gobain’s Southern Africa region, she recognised the need for better industry-led support, leading her to become Director of Industry and Community Training for Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland. There, she launched the company’s first community training academy, supporting care leavers into employment.
Driven by a commitment to systemic change and a belief in the potential of young people, Shenaaz introduced the YouthBuild model to the UK, leading a successful pilot in London.
Under her leadership, YBVUK has expanded its impact, securing key industry partnerships, driving policy engagement, and scaling youth employment initiatives.
She is a champion of youth-led change.
