Biography
Silverius Oscar Unggul (Onte) is a social entrepreneur, policy advisor, and thought leader in inclusive development, regenerative forestry, and community-based enterprises in Indonesia. He serves as Senior Advisor to the Minister of Forestry and previously served as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) for Environment and Forestry (2021–2024), bridging policy, business, and community interests. With over two decades of experience, his work focuses on empowering indigenous peoples, farmers, fishers, and forest-dependent communities through cooperative-based business models, sustainable value chains, and climate-aligned finance. He is the founder and advisor to multiple social enterprises and cooperatives, bringing rare cross-sector leadership experience across civil society, business enterprises, chambers of commerce, and government.
