Biography
Subrata Singh, Executive Director at the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES), has worked over two and half decades to advancing sustainability and empowering communities. With a long standing experience in natural resource management and rural development, he has played an important role in shaping strategies that integrate community stewardship with policy advocacy. Subrata's work focuses on fostering resilient village institutions, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and influencing governance frameworks to strengthen the management of the Commons (shared resources). With a deep interest in capacity building and multi-stakeholder collaboration, he has consistently worked to bridge the gap between grassroots initiatives and systemic change. As an expert in the field, Subrata has contributed to national and international discussions on community stewardship and community-driven approaches.
