Head of Programme Impact and DeliveryVirgin Unite
Sofi has been with Virgin Unite since 2019, initially working in the President’s office with Jean Oelwang and the team on several initiatives and priorities closely aligned with the Branson Family. As part of this role, Sofi handled briefings for Unite engagements and managed a number of relationships with Foundations and HNWIs, and played an instrumental role in Virgin Unite's COVID-19 response and support to Ukraine.
Currently, Sofi sits within the Programme team as Head of Programme Impact and Delivery. This role acts as the central coordinating point across the organisation for Virgin Unite's programmatic portfolio, fostering cross-team collaboration and connectivity to maximise Virgin Unite's impact. Much of Sofi's focus involves working with the leadership team to ensure that Unite’s programmes and investments align with the organisations overarching strategic priorities.
Sofi is passionate about building and sustaining partnerships that align with Virgin Unite's values and mission, and drive impact. She sits on the Board of Unite BVI Foundation and is an Advisory Council Member for The NewNow (powered by One Young World to support the next generation of leaders in the Global South). She is also a member of the Steering Committee for South African Medical Research Council (which recently merged with The Africa Partners Collective).
