Sofie Garcelon

Biography

Sofie Garcelon is the Executive Director for a New York based, family foundation, and brings over a decade of experience in non-profit fundraising, communications, and management to her work.

Sofie began her career at the Billion Oyster Project in New York City where she was brought on as the first employee to create fundraising, volunteer and communications programs.

In 2013, Sofie moved to Bozeman, Montana to join the major giving fundraising team at Montana State University and led fundraising efforts in New York City, Seattle and San Francisco.

Prior to joining the family foundation she currently serves, Sofie was the Development Director at HAVEN – a community based organization in Montana, dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and trafficking. While at Haven, Sofie oversaw fundraising and communication operations and led the organization through a period of rapid growth.
