Biography
Terry is committed to transforming the world. He’s been a sustainability leader in the public, private and nonprofit sectors for 50 years and wrote Breaking the Pesticide Habit and The Humane Consumer and Producer Guide.
He volunteers as President of the Alliance for Sustainability (afors.org), which he co-founded in 1983 following work in 45 countries. He heads its Campaign for Sustainability, Health, Equity and Kindness and remains CEO of Sustainability Associates, working with business and institutions to save money, improve performance and become sustainability leaders.
He’s served as White House and Congressional aide, Aveda Director of Ecological Affairs & Sustainability, Cargill economist, International Alliance for Sustainable Executive Director, Wall Street brokerage assistant, Minneapolis College of Art & Design adjunct faculty and Sacramento Community Garden Program Co-Founder. He received an BA from CMC, MS in Ag and Applied Economics at UC Davis and MBA from Yale.
