Thenmoli Segaran

Biography

Thenmoli Segaran is a Malaysian ecologist and youth climate advocate. She is passionate about mainstreaming equitable and community-led climate policies and solutions that intersect society, nature, and climate change.

As the Advocacy Coordinator at Youths United For Earth (YUFE), she co-organized Malaysia's largest Sustainability Mentorship Programme. During UNFCCC's COP28 and COP29, Thenmoli was instrumental in lobbying government negotiators on Malaysia’s climate resilience and adaptation plans while localizing global climate negotiations and reaching more than 20,000 people.

Thenmoli's work experience in hard-to-abate industries, sustainable finance, nature-based solutions, and climate policy advocacy has inspired her to connect local action with global frameworks for lasting environmental and social impact.
