Tom Hart is the President and CEO of InterAction. A veteran in the global development and advocacy space, Tom brings nearly 30 years of experience in foreign aid, public policy, and nonprofit leadership.
Since stepping into his current role as President and CEO of Interaction in December 2023, Tom has led the organization’s mission to serve the world’s poor and vulnerable through strategic leadership, collective advocacy, and collaborative action. Before joining InterAction, Tom spent two decades at the ONE Campaign, a nonpartisan advocacy organization focused on ending extreme poverty and preventable disease,
particularly in Africa. Tom began his career in public service, working on Capitol Hill for Senators Alan Cranston and Jay Rockefeller, and later served as Director of Government Relations for the Episcopal Church, USA. A passionate advocate for foreign aid and global justice, Tom
is known for his ability to mobilize diverse coalitions and drive meaningful policy change.
