Biography
Twaambo Elvis Mutinta, born on 28th September 1983, is a Zambian politician currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Itezhi-Tezhi constituency under the United Party for National Development (UPND). He was elected to this position in August 2021.
Before his political career, Mutinta worked as a Programmes Officer and a teacher. He holds a Master's Degree in Development Studies, a Bachelor's Degree in Adult Education, a Diploma in Secondary Education, and a Certificate in Social Work. His academic background reflects a strong commitment to education and community development.
In Parliament, Mutinta has been an active member of several committees. He has served on the Committee on Education, Science and Technology and the Committee on Local Governance, Housing and Chiefs' Affairs. He is the chair of Zambia's first-ever caucus on school health. His involvement in these committees underscores his dedication to advancing education and local governance in Zambia.
