Biography

Valerie Mosley is the founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Upward Wealth, dba BrightUp, a fintech company on a mission to democratize wealth building. She is committed to coupling her investment experience and credit knowledge with technology to add value both to lives and portfolios.

Valerie retired as a Partner, SVP, Portfolio Manager, and Investment Strategist from Wellington Management Company, LLP, a trillion-dollar global money management firm. During her 20-year tenure, she managed billions for clients, chaired the firm’s Industry Strategy Group, and sat on several investment strategy groups that set key parameters for team portfolio managers to follow.

Valerie is a corporate director of DraftKings and Eaton Vance’s family of Mutual Funds. Valerie also serves on the boards of McLean Hospital, Harvard’s mental health hospital and The Investment Committee for The Skoll Foundation.

Valerie was recognized as The International Person of the Year by The UK’s Power List.
