Vickram Sombu

Biography

Vickram Sombu is a freelance photographer and filmmaker based in Kupang, NTT. He has been involved with Komunitas Film Kupang since 2019 and also completed his photography education in a one-year mentorship program at PannaFoto Institute, Jakarta in 2024. His interest in the medium of film and photography led him to get acquainted with and record social and cultural issues. So far, Vickram has visualized several feature-length and short documentary films, as well as exhibited his photographic works at Permata Youth Photostory 2022 in Jakarta, Jakarta International Photo Festival 2023, Curatorial Exhibition “Sandu Sanggu” 2023 in Kupang, Jogja Fotografis Festival 2024, and Archive Exhibition Recording the City 2024 in Kupang. In addition to producing audio visual works, Vickram has also worked with Flobamora Film Festival since 2022 and became festival manager in 2025.
