Biography
Xavier Ejoyi has over 25 years development work experience focused on governance, social development and applied policy research. He has a keen interest in championing integrity in public service, human dignity in crises situations. He is currently the Country Director of ActionAid International Uganda, a leading social justice organization focused on addressing structural causes of poverty, including corruption, violence against women and girls, as well as climate change. He has previously worked with USAID/Uganda and Danida as a senior conflict and peace building specialist, with Uganda Child Rights NGO Network as a Senior researcher, with Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative as a researcher, and World Harvest Mission as a classroom teacher. Xavier currently chairs the Board of Uganda National NGO Forum – an independent national platform for NGOs in Uganda. He holds MA in Peace and Reconciliation Studies from Coventry University, and BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University.
