Biography

Zubaida Bai is the President and CEO of Grameen Foundation, which operates at the intersection of gender, financial inclusion, and climate. The foundation tackles deep-rooted systemic barriers, enabling women to escape poverty. Leveraging her engineering and social entrepreneurship background, Zubaida aims to eradicate poverty through sustainable development and transformative social impact.

Zubaida Bai is the founder of ayzh®, a social enterprise that designs vital healthcare products to improve the health and happiness of women and girls across their reproductive lives. Prior to joining Grameen Foundation, she was the managing director of social ventures at CARE International. Zubaida has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, a Maternal Health Champion by Ashoka, a TED Fellow/Speaker, and named United Nations SDG 3 Pioneer by the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
