Samantha Bastian is an MBA candidate at Said Business School, University of Oxford. She is focusing on building skills to bring business practices to achieve large-scale social impact. Samantha has over seven years of experience working in the social sector in various roles across South Asia and Africa - focused on monitoring, evaluation and research including operations and market research for data-driven decision-making and reporting.
She enjoys working with innovative, entrepreneurial and impactful organizations building systems to support implementation scale and growth. Some of her most impactful work include: designing and leading an internal consulting team providing monitoring and information systems services to take evidence-based programs to scale with Evidence Action and evaluating partnership models for a basket of stand-alone health products with Abt Associates.
Samantha has a BA in Economics and Statistics and an MA in Economics. She has built technical expertise in data analysis and statistical software like STATA and SPSS and values cultivating strong leadership and people management skills.
