Biography
Nekesa is on a personal mission to build and support communities to develop innovative solutions that transform societies, protect dignity, and positively impact economies.
She currently serves as the Director of Partnerships at Medic, where she leads strategic collaboration efforts to expand the impact of the Community Health Toolkit (CHT)—an open-source digital platform improving community health delivery globally.
Before joining Medic, she was the Director of Strategy at AfriLabs, a Pan-African network of innovation hubs, where she led the execution of its long-term strategy to consistently elevate innovators across the continent.
She also served as the CEO of iHub, one of Kenya’s first and most influential innovation hubs, where she championed an open innovation culture that played a critical role in shaping Kenya’s technology ecosystem.
In 2023, Nekesa was named one of the 100 Most Influential African Leaders by Connecting Africa and the Africa Tech Festival.
